Welcoming New Dental Patients in Jonesboro

Are you are a patient looking for a new dental home? We welcome new patients of all ages to our Jonesboro, AR dental office.

Looking for a new dentist can be confusing and a tough decision to make. We want you to know that we value our patient relationships and that we consider ourselves your partners in health. You can trust us to be honest with you and take care of you the way we take care of our own families.

Your First Exam

You might wonder about your first appointment and what to expect. Part of your appointment will be the usual first appointment necessities such as filling out paperwork, including a medical history so we can take the best care of you possible.

Then, you will have time to talk to Dr. Anthony Bartels and share any of your concerns with him. If you have noticed changes in your dental health or if you have pain, sensitivity, odd lumps, or any fractured teeth, he can help guide you toward the next step to get back on track.

Dr. Bartels will examine your gums, including taking measurements to determine if you suffer from periodontal (gum) disease. If periodontal disease is present, he may recommend a specialized professional dental cleaning to restore your health. Our hygienists are expertly trained and extremely gentle.

We include a life-saving oral cancer screening at each exam. Oral cancer is a particularly deadly form of cancer, but when your dentist detects a suspicious lesion in its early stages, your chances of survival are dramatically increased. He will also look for other suspicious cysts or abnormal tissues.

Digital Dental X-Rays

As a new patient in our office, x-rays are important. They allow us to see any dental conditions Dr. Bartels cannot detect upon visual inspection alone. We can detect problems such as infection, decay, bone loss, and fractures in their early stages before they progress and cause pain or tooth loss.

We will periodically take x-rays and compare them over time to detect any changes that might indicate a problem. With this technology, we can save you time, hassle, and money.

Diagnosis and Treatment Recommendations

Once we gather all of your information and data, Dr. Bartels will review your information and explain any dental conditions. Then he will make recommendations and help guide you when it comes to the next best step for you to take.

A new patient exam may sound complicated, but it really isn’t. We strive to make each of your visits enjoyable, love getting to know you, and can take all of these steps in one visit or two. It is always up to you.
