Childrens Dentistry by Dr. Anthony Bartels, Jonesboro AR

Not only can a child’s first visit to the dentist be scary for them, it can also be scary for their parents as well. Which is why Anthony Bartels, DDS and his team strive to create a comfortable and fun environment for their patients of all ages. Finding the right dentist for you and your family is important for them to cultivate good oral hygiene strategies and in avoiding the development of dental anxiety as they get older.

Creating a Comfortable Environment for Your Child

  • We put their comfort first – Forcing a child to sit still and endure their dental visit can make them fear and distrust dentists. One way to avoid this is by bringing them in for their first visit as soon as they turn three. Another way is to talk to them about how fun going to the dentist is and be with them throughout their visit. The more prepared and comfortable your child is during their dental visits, the easier future treatments will be.
  • Friendly staff – Children can be a handful, and sometimes will not cooperate with dentists. Our staff is used to working with children and will stay calm and patient no matter what the situation is. We will do our best to calm your child and make them feel more relaxed by taking them on a tour of the office, explaining how each device works and making their treatment fun and exciting.
  • Fun exam rooms – We have huge windows in our exam rooms, which will give your child plenty to look at during their cleaning and exam. We can also show them digital pictures of their teeth on our computers, which is often very interesting for children.

Choosing a Family Dentist

One of the reasons so many families choose to come to our office for their dental care is because we do our best to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible and put their needs first.
