A trip to the dentist does not need to send your child into a tailspin of anxiety and stress. With your help, we can make dental visits fun and relaxing for your little one. At home, be sure to avoid saying anything negative about the dental office, especially if you have dental anxiety yourself. Kids pick up on these things.

We will take care of the rest once you arrive!

Here are some ways we make dentistry easy and enjoyable for kids:

We Involve Your Child in Their Oral Health

Kids love to exercise their independence. We will involve them in their dental appointment and explain things as we go along, so they feel like part of the appointment. As a father himself, Dr. Anthony Bartels is great at working with kids and has a way of making them feel great about their smiles.

He also provides gentle instruction to keep them on track with a healthy smile without making them feel bad if they develop a cavity.

We Speak to Kids in Non-Threatening Ways

Explaining dentistry to kids is an art. We never use scary or threatening terms and always speak positively about your child. No one needs to feel anxious at the dentist because we prioritize patient comfort for both your kids and for you!

We Make Dentistry Fun and Engaging

The dental office is full of fun gadgets that peak your child’s curiosity. Who doesn’t want to take a ride in the dental chair or learn how the suction works? These are all ways that we engage your child and make dentistry fun and enjoyable.

We Involve Parents When Appropriate

Kids typically do great in the dental chair while parents relax in the welcome area. If we feel your child would be more comfortable in your presence, we will invite you back to cheer on your little one during treatment.

If you and your family would like a children’s dentist in the Jonesboro area, we welcome patients of all ages and look forward to helping your little one establish a good foundation for a healthy smile.
